Heralded as one of the most versatile soloists of today, soprano Lesley-Jane Rogers is renowned for her captivating and evocative performances. An established concert soloist, she specialises in oratorio, “vocal concertos”, solo cantatas, recitals and contemporary music, and is praised for her sensitivity and thoughtfulness of interpretation.
Lesley-Jane is blessed with a large vocal range, enabling her to produce easy high notes, a blended middle voice and a rich low register. Her diversity of vocal colour and technique coupled with her strong sense of style makes Lesley-Jane a rare performer in her ability to produce on demand bel canto singing, the light and shade of baroque phrasing, or complex modern music demanding specialist vocal skills. Lesley-Jane
has worked as a soloist for many acclaimed conductors and
orchestras, as well as singing for various national and
international festivals. She studied singing and piano at the
Royal Academy of Music,
London, where she won several prizes, and in 2003 was made an
‘Associate’ in recognition of her eminence in the profession.
