Lesley-Jane Rogers has a bright, well-focused voice with a large vocal and dramatic range. Her voice has variously been described as “liquid gold”, “the voice of an angel”, and “awesome!” With her powerful voice, she is well able to be heard over a large symphony orchestra and chorus, but she is also a sensitive artist capable of ravishing pianissimi and gentle singing. A naturally high soprano, Lesley-Jane is nevertheless blessed with a large vocal range, which means that, in addition to her easy high notes, she has a rich low register and a blended middle voice. She also has perfect pitch.

Her diversity of vocal colour and technique coupled with her strong sense of style makes Lesley-Jane equally at home performing baroque music - aware of the light and shade of baroque phrasing, and with good coloratura skills - as singing large romantic works - able to sustain a good bel canto line over a large chorus and orchestra - or complex modern music - works requiring specialist vocal skills, expert ptiching and accurately-executed complex rhythms.
